[UPDATE] Bethesda to publish Wet

Wet, left homeless after the Activision-Vivendi merger, has finally found a home, according to Famitsu and several retailers. Bethesda Softworks is jumping into the deep end by picking up the publishing rights to A2M's acrobatic Wet.
Indeed, it's an unusual game to add to the Bethesda catalog, which is generally limited to self-developed role-playing games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout. Still, we're glad someone is willing to help fund and promote this stylish game.
Wet tells the story of Rubi, an acrobatic gun-for-hire. When she agrees to help a wealthy man find and bring back his wayward son, all hell breaks loose and the tables are turned, as the man who hired her isn't who he appeared to be. Now Rubi's on the run, needing to find the man who left her for dead and leaving a massive body count in her wake.

UPDATE: Bethesda confirmed today that it will publish Wet, the upcoming action game in development for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from Artificial Mind and Movement (A2M). The game is currently set for a Fall 2009 release.
Featuring acrobatics, gun play and sword kills, Wet is a stylized third-person shooter that allows gamers to engage in combat while sliding along floors, running on walls, performing flips and defeating enemies with dual pistols and a samurai sword.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity to bring Wet to all gamers,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “Our proven success as a publisher which focuses on select, innovative titles matches up perfectly with Wet’s new class of gameplay.”
“We were looking for a publisher who shares and supports our creative vision of bringing a stylized, daring approach to the shooting genre”, said Patrick Fortier, Creative Director at A2M. “With its impressive track record, Bethesda Softworks is the ideal publisher for Wet and we are thrilled to be working together.”
Check back for more news on Wet later on in the year.

Bethesda don't make exclusive games, only multiplarform. I wouldn't think Microsoft would care/want any exclusive downloadable content for this title, it's not very well known. -

Well after the crappy dlc support for fallout and the buggy game it came out to be I am never going to buy a Bethesda game they dont care about their users so I dont going to care anything about them, I even traded my fallout copy for SFIV. For now on if the bethesda game is worth it, it will end up being a pirate copy for my pc (tho i dont support piracy but for this guys I am going to make an exception

It's a bit ghey to hate them just because m$ threw their wallet at them. Bethesda is a company like any other, at the end of the day they exist to make money. If m$ giving them a wad of cash let's them do that better & with less risk, of course they are going to go for it. It's only exclusive dlc, we still got the game.
Fair enough, Fallout 3 had plenty of bugs - but they were not exclusive to ps3 - every version of the game had plenty of issues, but the good stuff far outweighed that for me. The worst thing was not being able to continue playing the game once you do the last story part, but I have a save from towards the end in the hope that the exclusivity has a best-before date or there is a patch to open it up again, although now I'm not really sure I'd want to go back fo Fallout 3, there's a lot of good games out there.

Generally self developed?
I don't think so!
Fallout 3 was initially under development by Black Isle Studios, a studio owned by Interplay Entertainment under the working title Van Buren. Interplay Entertainment went bankrupt and closed down Black Isle Studios before the game could be completed, and the license to develop Fallout 3 was sold for a $1,175,000 minimum guaranteed advance against royalties to Bethesda Softworks , a studio primarily known as the developer of the The Elder Scrolls series. The first 2 Fallout games were Black Isle/Interplay releases!

I totally agree. Bathesda really screwed PS3 players over with their lack of support.
